Ancient Camellias of Lucca 2020: March in Bloom.

On the weekends of 14/15 then 21/22 then 28/29 March 2020, the exhibition Ancient Camellias of Lucca will be held. The annual international event held in the municipality of Capannori in the Compitese area has reached its 31st edition. It will take place in the villages of S. Andrea di Compito and Pieve di Compito in the Borgo delle Camelie, but other hamlets of the municipality of Capannori and the city of Lucca are involved in the exhibition.

The main focus of the exhibition will obviously be the camellia, but tastings, exhibitions, concerts and walks in the countryside will also be held. It will also be possible to visit the park of Villa Reale with the same ticket for the exhibition Ancient Camellias of Lucca which will be usable throughout the month of March also on a date other than that of the visit to the exhibition.

Among the various activities during the event there will be guided visits to the camellia garden, scientific exhibitions on camellias in the villas of Lucca, walks in the paths starting from the Compitese Cultural Center. Also workshops of Kintsugi (the Japanese art of repairing broken objects with gold ) and tea tastings.
