Lucca Tour
The tour of Lucca will start (if most convinient with client) from the south side of the city, in the political center, Piazza Napoleone, where we will talk about the foundation of the city and it’s political life.
Then to the Cathedral where you can decide if to visit it inside together (the cost is €3 per person) carrying on past the little piazza and some other churches to Via Fillingo the main shopping road. Where it is possible to see the Torre delle Ore to which a great legend of the city is related to. Carrying on along the road to see the Torre Guinigi and all the beautiful art nouveau shop signs.
Then to the Roman amphitheater where you’ll be able to imagine it as it originally was. Continuing to San Frediano Basilica and then up on the walls to see how it’s defense system worked and how it has changed through time. And where it will also be possible to see the scenographic gardens of Palazzo Pfanner. Through the back roads of the city along the less touristy side we will then carry on towards Piazza San michele and if there is time and a special interest we can also make a short stop in front of Puccini’s birthplace. Along the way the guide will point out all the local shops and best places to dine.
